The control panel is the heart of x2cms - and provides a one stop shop for accessing all of the elements of x2cms from the website builder to traffic stats from one convenient location. Once logged in to the control panel you can access all of the elements without worrying about individual passwords for each section.

Want to make a quick change to your website? No Problem! Because our website builder is online you can login, update and add pages to your site from anywhere - an internet cafe, your office, your home or a friends house. All that is required is that you are using a PC and version 5.5 of Internet Explorer or above.
Revert to previous (older) versions of pages when required
Made a mistake on a page? Want to go back to the way you had a certain page 2 weeks ago? No problem! Our system automatically keeps the last 5 versions of a page and reverting back to that page is as easy as a couple of mouse clicks.
Add editors who can also add/change pages on your site
If you run a club or a group, or have a number of people involved in the marketing of your business there is often a bottleneck where one person is designated as the "website guy". With x2cms, you can add additional editors who can login to your account and add/update pages. Editors have restricted privileges and cannot make fundamental changes to your site or its design.
Change your site design as often as you like!
Website fashions change almost daily! Don't like your existing design? No Problem! You can change your site design any time you like, as often as you like and you will NOT lose your existing content! The only thing you will have to do is recreate the main links to your pages. There is NO charge for changing your site design.
Add a search this site function
If you have a number of pages and you want to add a search function so your visitors can search your entire website, no problem! We have pre-coded a search function - so you can add it to your site, it searches ALL pages in a couple of mouse clicks!
Add a Guestbook
You can add a guestbook to your site with as little as 4 mouse clicks - let your site visitors leave you messages and feedback. You can directly edit the page in the editor to update or delete outdated entries.
Add a "Contact Us" form
With some simple mouse clicks the website builder will create a standard form to allow your visitors or customers to contact you easily. You can manually update the email address the form sends to with ease.
Build and create custom forms
In many cases the hardest area of setting up a new website is creating forms that mail back to you. Detailed knowledge of html is often required to do this. With x2cms we have provided a form builder - it's easy to use and takes less than a couple of minutes to set up a form. In addition we also include a number of standard forms (such as contact us) which will let you get started quickly.
Full spell check
x2cms includes a spell checker for the pages you create - once you have created your page run the spell check and x2cms will check each word, and if it doesn't recognise a word it will suggest a replacement spelling.
MySQL database - full database functionality
x2cms includes a MySQL database with each Professional account. You can use this to run popular forum software such as VBulletin or phpBB or you can develop your own custom based applications that run from a database. We also include myphpadmin to administer your MySQL database over the net.
HTML Editor
If you require access to the actual HTML for your site (e.g. to insert some custom code or script) - no problem! The editor includes a full html colour coded editor so you can work with HTML if you need to.

Dedicated pop3 mailboxes
With x2cms you can have an unlimited number of pop3 email boxes with the Professional package and up to 5 with the standard package. These will work both with your x2cms account (e.g. roger@mysite.x2cms.com) and with your unique domain name (e.g. roger@mydomain.com). Ideal for clubs, societies, groups, clans or business!
Anti-Spam feature
Our email system automatically deletes all KNOWN spam as soon as it is received and it never enters your email inbox. In addition, mail it suspects of being spam is flagged in the subject header as spam and will be sent to you. You can then setup a filter to auto-delete or place this mail in another folder if you are using most popular email programmes.
Webmail - read and send your mail from the web
x2cms Website Builder provides you with a webmail account for each user. Everyone can log in online and read/send/reply to email - it's just like Hotmail!

100MB or 200MB of space for your site/10 or 20 GIGABYTES of Monthly data traffic
A massive 100mb of web space is allocated to the Standard Package of the x2cms Website Builder, together with 10GB of bandwidth. This equates to almost 10,000 typical web pages! Should you require more space (e.g. for file storage, pdf's, mp3's etc) we will normally increase your allocation free of charge. The Professional Package is allocated 200MB, with 20GB of bandwidth.
Run .asp, asp.net, php, frontpage and cgi scripts
Because we run x2cms sitebuilder on Windows servers you can run virtually any language or script on our servers. What's more, if you need an extension or anything else added to allow you to run a script we will add it for you - free of charge.
Full FTP access to your site
Because you may need to upload a large amount of files (or very large files) we also provide you with full ftp access to your site space.
Full access to your raw logfiles
Although we provide every subscriber to x2cms with the industry standard urchin Web Stats to analyse your web traffic, there are times when you want to access your raw log files. With x2cms that's no problem - you can access them straight from your ftp account.

Your x2cms subscription comes with a lot of options, and to make things easier to manage we provide you with Ensim. Ensim takes the headache out of managing your site by providing an easy to use web interface to add and update your email addresses, ftp access, logs and databases.

Every site submitted to 27 major search engines and directories.
Each full domain we register is MANUALLY submitted to the top 27 search engines and directories. We don't use an automatic programme to do this that often fails! Neither do we claim to submit your site to 200, 2,000 or 200,000 search engines! There just aren't that many decent, reliable search engines - in fact there are 27! Submitting your site through companies that claim to do 200 - 200,000 can often harm your site.
Sites are portable - take or copy your site anywhere!
Because you have developed your site on x2cms, this does NOT mean it has to remain here forever! You can download your entire site via FTP and then re-host it elsewhere! Of course you wont be able to make the easy, frequent updates or have all of the above features - but we will never tie you in to using our service.
